A council is a group of fraternities and/or sororities that work together to advance a shared mission and vision. Organizations are often grouped by common values, history, cultural identity, or goals and provide guidance, oversight, and leadership.
Each council is supported by a Council Advisor from Fraternity and Sorority Life and led by a student executive board, providing members with opportunities for leadership development, self-governance and organizational management, community building and collaboration, and personal, academic, and professional growth—empowering students to shape meaningful experiences while celebrating camaraderie, leadership, and excellence at RPI
