As the center of student life since 1890, the Rensselaer Union boasts over 200 clubs and organizations, giving students endless opportunities to dive into fun activities outside the classroom. These opportunities bring a vibrant, dynamic energy to academic life, making the Student Experience a key part of the Rensselaer journey!

RPI offers a wide range of fitness and wellness programs, as well as competitive and non-competitive club sports and intramural sports, providing something for everyone to stay active and engaged.

For over 150 years, fraternities and sororities have been a cornerstone of Rensselaer’s tradition. Today, the community features 28 fraternities and 5 sororities, with more than 1,000 students actively involved. Students involved build lifelong friendships, strengthen their leadership abilities, and contribute to the community through service and engagement.
