Re: Religious Observances and Holidays

At RPI, we value and respect the diversity of our students and strive to accommodate the religious beliefs and needs of all members of our community.

As a learning community, we welcome all faiths and make reasonable efforts to make sure that religious participation is not unreasonably restricted for those who wish to be absent from the classroom or workplace on religious observances or holidays. In the case of conflicts between the Institute’s calendar and your religious beliefs, faculty and staff are expected to make reasonable efforts to assure that your religious participation is not unreasonably restricted. This policy applies to all students.

To request time off for a religious holiday or observance, reach out to your professor. For additional information, visit RPI’s 2025-2026 Catalog

Always remember, you are welcome here, you belong here, and we support you here.
